general questions

+     How often do you run your fishing charters?

Our charters are open for bookings all year round, 7 days a week.

+     Will a charter still run if it's raining?

Charters will still operate in the rain as long as the sea and wind conditions are safe (in the discretion of the Skipper). We recommend bringing a rain jacket.

+     Do you offer pick-up and drop-off transport services?

No. You are required to organise your own transport to and from the meeting point at Endeavour Dr, Wollongong NSW 2500. For more information on parking and directions, click here.

+     Where do you normally fish?

Depending on the weather and fishing conditions, we often drift along the South Coast of NSW between Stanwell Park and Shellharbour. We fish anywhere from off the beach to 10 miles offshore. Some of the spots we frequent (but not limited to) include Stanwell Park, Bellambi, Wollongong, Five Islands (Port Kembla), and Shellharbour.

+     What type of fish will we catch?

We cover a vast array of fishing grounds targeting Snappers, Morwong, Wrasse, Flathead, Leatherjacket, Eastern Pigfish and more.

+     What type of bait do you use?

We typically use whole prawns, strips of squid and salted mackerel to start. We also sometimes use bits of fresh fish, including sergeant baker and mackerel, that have been caught on the day. However, you’re welcome to bring along your own bait if you prefer.

+     Will we be guaranteed a fish?

Unfortunately we can’t make such guarantees. Although, in the last 40 years of operation, we have never gone out and not caught at least one fish. It is common in fishing to have slow days where the fish are not on the bite and can be unpredictable. Our crew will always do their best to catch a feed of fish for everybody onboard.

+     Will we be able to catch BIG fish?

We will always do our best to give you the opportunity to land that BIG fish. While most fish caught are plate-sized, there are absolutely no guarantees.

+     Can we bring home the fish we catch?

Yes, as long as the fish you catch is of the legal size. Our crew will be able to advise and determine this. Please bring along a bag or esky to take your catches home.

+     Are the fish filleted?

No, filleting of fish is not provided. However, all catches will be scaled, gilled and gutted for your convenience.
